Why JotCam requests permissions
Camera
Used to capture photos. If denied, camera capture is unavailable.
Location
Used only when coordinate stamping is enabled. If denied, the GPS or UTM stamp is unavailable.
Device sensors
Used for the tilt-compensated compass heading. Hardware and magnetic interference can affect the reading.
Photos and storage
Used for user-selected imports, saved records and exports.
Purchases and Pro access
Apple or Google and RevenueCat process limited purchase, receipt, device-environment and entitlement information to complete purchases, restore Pro and occasionally validate access. They do not receive your JotCam photos, notes, markups, coordinates, project information, logos or reports through this process.
Offline use and sharing
Core capture and reporting features work offline. Internet access is required for purchases, restores and occasional entitlement validation. User-directed exports and sharing go only to the destination you select.
